Good posture allows us to breathe easier and exudes confidence. Try these poses and exercises with your family for better core strength and to combat rounded shoulders and back.

Start on your belly…

Y,T,W – Arms form a Y, T, and W shape. Lift head, chest, and legs.

Superman – Punch Right arm forward and Left leg back and switch while on your belly. Lift head, chest, and legs.

Locust pose – Allows shoulder blades to come in and down the back. Clasp hands and lift arms up off the waist. Lift head, chest, and legs.

Swimmers – Lift arms, chest, and legs up off the ground. Paddle arms and legs.

Move to Table top…

Bird Dog – Reach Right Arm forward and Left leg back and then switch. Option to bring elbow to knee together.

Lie on back…

Crunchers – Bring legs to table top and place hands behind your neck. Lift head and shoulders up off the ground and lower back down.

Boat pose – Just your hips are on the ground. Chest and legs are lifted and arms reach forward. Add twists. Come to a half boat by hovering back and legs off the ground two inches and come back up into your boat.

Most importantly have fun while you are trying these exercises and poses! And don’t forget to take deep breaths and stay hydrated. Enjoy!
