I really enjoy practicing Yoga and would like my 8-year old daughter to start. She is a bit overweight and I’m worried she will not enjoy it. Do you have any suggestions?

A common misconception is that Yoga is just about stretching. What many people don’t realize is that Yoga helps to strengthen just about every muscle in the body.
Everyone’s body is different, so you can only do your personal best. Also, no child is too overweight or underweight to try and excel at a Yoga practice.
Yoga will help your child to build up her strength and self-confidence. It is the perfect blend of strength training and stretching and it helps to relieve stress.
You can purchase large colorful yoga cards to explore with your child and go on a yoga adventure.
